Kefir diet allows you to lose up to 3-7 kg per week. Subject to the correct diet, the kefir diet contributes not only to weight loss, but also to the overall health of the body.

How to choose kefir for a diet

When choosing kefir for a diet, it is important to take into account some nuances, because eating a poor-quality product throughout the week can cause a lot of problems that will interfere with a full life. Pay special attention to the freshness of kefir.

Do not buy kefir with a long shelf life – many different preservatives and other additives are added to it to increase the shelf life. Also, kefir should not be replaced with yoghurts, despite the almost identical composition. Mass fraction of fat content of the product should be 1–2,5%.

Kefir basic diet for 7 days

On the first day of the diet, drink 500 ml of kefir and eat 400 g of boiled potatoes. Divide the products into three equal parts. If you feel very hungry in the evening, eat one green apple and drink another 200 ml of kefir.

The second day is not very different in the variety of products. You will need 500 ml of kefir and 400 g of low-fat cottage cheese. You can add a couple of tablespoons of white yogurt or sour cream and a teaspoon of sugar to the curd. In the morning you can have a glass of tea or coffee.

On the third day, drink 500 ml of kefir and eat 400 g of any fruit, with the exception of grapes and bananas. If in the morning you are tormented by weakness and drowsiness, drink coffee and eat one boiled egg.

It is better to step back a little from the recommended menu than to faint from malnutrition. If you are very poorly tolerant of the diet, return to your usual diet.

On the fourth day of the diet, it is allowed to drink 500 ml of kefir and eat 400 g of boiled chicken breast. Try to use less salt on the meat to avoid swelling.

On the fifth day, stick to the same set of foods as on the third day of the diet. But the sixth day is unloading. Drink only water throughout the day, preferably still. If you are not feeling well, drink 400 ml of kefir. The seventh day repeats the third and fifth – 500 ml of kefir and 400 g of fruit on the menu.

You need to leave the kefir diet gradually, otherwise there will be problems with digestion, and the extra pounds will begin to arrive quickly. Exclude flour products, fried, smoked foods from your diet. Light vegetable broths are optimal in the first days, then soups.

Gradually switch to the menu you are used to. But keep in mind that as soon as you start eating everything, the weight will return, especially if you tend to be overweight. Kefir diet can be carried out no more than once a month, it is advisable to consult with a specialist.
