Interior of a wooden house: photo

Every centimeter of this five-hundred-meter country house celebrates the liveliest and warmest of all known building materials – wood: look at the photo.

The yacht and golf club “Pestovo” is a well-known place. The largest Russian and international sailing regattas are held here. According to the results of the last season, Pestovo was named the best golf club in Russia. And there are also many wooden houses, one of which was designed by the designer Maria Vatolina.

There are no fences in the Pestovo golf and yacht club near Moscow. Private plots blend seamlessly with public golf courses, creating a sense of spaciousness and a touch of Western life in the air.

Concept: tree

The houses are different, but all are built of wood. This was the order of the administration, which was followed by almost all residents of the club village. “Almost” – because some have cheated and erected buildings of concrete, hiding them behind decorative wood paneling. The owners of this house did not cheat. Every centimeter of the five-hundred-meter building celebrates the most lively and warmest of all known building materials – wood.

Design technique: mixing different types of wood

The red cedar facade (a project of the Canadian company Lindal and the architect Pavel Vasilevich) echoes the interior decoration of teak, bamboo and oak, tinted in different shades, from bluish black to milky gray. A real “mixed forest” has grown in the rooms. One of the walls of the living room is sheathed with “gray” antique boards, which are transported from America to Russia by Ebony & Co. The ensemble is completed by a panel hanging from the ceiling of the double-height living room depicting a tree with leaves flying in the wind – the painting was made by the masters of the famous English company de Gournay.

“Combining different types of wood in one interior is a risky business. Each strives to pull the blanket over herself and begin to solo. “

Designer comment

“In fact, mixing different wood species in one interior is a risky business,” says designer Maria Vatolina. – Each strives to pull the blanket over herself and perform the solo part. Until recently, I doubted that we would be able to reconcile them with each other. Fortunately, the tint in light shades of gray did the trick. For all the variegation, the interior looks quite solid, and most importantly – alive. ” This feeling is enhanced by the endless spaces that open from the windows of the living room, smoothly flowing into the dining room, kitchen and further on to numerous outdoor terraces. The owners admit that it is simply impossible to stay at home in the summer. “It’s tempting to go for a walk or dive into the outdoor spa pool. The second desire is usually stronger. ”
