Hydrovag – application, treatment

Hydrovag helps women treat unpleasant vaginal ailments. Problems with hydration and vaginal dryness are often caused by a lack of proper pH in the vagina. This is due to various reasons – drugs, such as antibiotics, are the main ones. Dryness in the vagina causes a woman great discomfort – it causes abrasions and even wounds, which are aggravated by wearing tampons, plastic underwear or sexual intercourse. This unpleasant ailment requires effective help before it becomes infected.

Hydrovag – application

Hydrovag is available in the form of vaginal globules. The preparation in the vagina melts under the influence of heat and creates a protective layer inside the vagina, which stimulates the mucosa to produce mucus and rebuilds the torn epidermis. Hydrovag ingredients support its regeneration very quickly. Sodium hyaluronate stimulates the mucous membranes to work, while lactic acid allows you to keep relevant pH in the vagina. On the other hand glycogen nourishes the vagina – supports the creation of its natural bacterial flora, thanks to which the vagina is protected against infections.

The drug is used especially in such cases as atrophy, i.e. atrophy of the vaginal mucosa, menopause and after chemotherapy, which destroys the body. It is also often recommended for women after gynecological surgeries and after childbirth. Thanks to it, pain and itching are significantly alleviated and a change is felt very quickly. After the first use, the discomfort is reduced. The unpleasant smell that often accompanies infections also disappears very quickly.

Hydrovag – treatment

The duration of therapy should not exceed a month. For the first week, use 1 globule a night. One globule is then used every 2 days for lasting improvement. If one dose of the drug is missed, the dose should not be increased by using two globules. To apply the drug, first of all, wash and dry your hands. It is best to place the pessary in a supine position with your hips slightly upward. As the drug dissolves very quickly, it should be kept in the refrigerator. The globules are packed in a protective foil, which is torn off just before application. If inserting the pessary into the vagina is painful, slightly moisten it with warm water.

It is recommended to use panty liners after the application of the globule, because it may dissolve and leave traces on the underwear. During the treatment, you should not use tampons, latex panty liners, have sexual intercourse with a condom and do not wear underwear made of any material other than cotton.

No other vaginal preparations should be used during the treatment with Hydrovag. Please consult your gynecologist before starting treatment during pregnancy or lactation.

If during the use of the drug symptoms worsening of symptoms, as well as a rash, occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician in order to switch to another drug.
