How we are tricked by packaging: 15 examples

Unfortunately, the rule “what’s on the box is in the box” rarely works in practice.

Surely, after all, you have encountered such a phenomenon: seductive biscuits are painted on a packet of cookies, but in fact, inside there is something strange, sloppy shape with a miserable drop of jam in the middle. And what about the manufacturers’ enthusiasm for packages of 850 grams and 950 milliliters instead of honest kilograms and liters? Or the recent scandal with the “nine eggs”, when one factory started packing eggs into such non-standard cells. It is clear that everyone is trying to save money and earn more money from consumers. After all, the smaller the pack, the more expensive the product is.

But sometimes manufacturers take very shameless measures. For example, here are two cans of dietary supplements. It is logical to assume that more capsules will be in the one with the larger size. But no. Everything is exactly the opposite.

Or grand size coffee cups. If you tear off the top layer, it becomes clear that this is an absolutely standard glass, just externally enlarged due to the empty cardboard.

And here is a box of markers. Just awesome! There are probably 200 flowers, no less. Don’t rush to buy it. The child, when he opens, can be very upset – look at the second photo, and everything will become clear.

Tea sellers did the same trick. But they can be understood: there are exhibition samples on the showcase, which quickly lose their aroma and taste. Therefore, we “saved”. It is more offensive when jars of spices look like this: the top is covered by a label, and if you turn it over, half a jar of spices is inside.

For such designers, there is probably a special cauldron in hell. And there is also a special hashtag in social networks, on which we found all these examples. But we will not call him here – he is indecent. Better look at the photo and don’t fall for these shameless tricks.
