Washing your carpet at home is a doable task
The method of cleaning the product depends on its size. If they are small, you can wash it in the bath. First, carry out the preparatory stage:
remove accumulated debris with a broom or brush;
look at the pile carefully and find spots that need special treatment.
Washing will not help remove stubborn dirt; it must be treated in advance. Experts recommend the following ways to remove them:
tea stains are removed with soapy water;
traces of spilled wine are removed with a mixture of dishwashing gel and vinegar in a 1: 1 ratio;
plasticine and chewing gum freeze under the influence of ice, then leave without any effort;
wax is easily removed by placing a sheet of paper on top of it and ironing it.
After treating the stains, roll up the carpet and place it in the tub. Treat it with detergent (it is recommended to discard the powder, as it is difficult to rinse out), if necessary, soak for several hours. Rinse off with strong water pressure.
There is a method of how to wash a carpet at home on the floor surface. For these purposes, detergents are used that absorb accumulated dirt. Such a tool is lathered, applied to the pile and left for a couple of hours. After drying, it is collected with a vacuum cleaner.
How to wash carpet outdoors
If you live in a private house, it is possible to do your laundry in the yard. The algorithm of actions is as follows:
wash the area of asphalt and spread a pre-knocked carpet on it, you can hang it on makeshift trestles or a low fence;
wet the product from a bucket or hose;
apply the detergent to the product with a brush;
rinse off the soapy water with a hose.
Washing and drying in the fresh air is the best algorithm for eliminating unpleasant odors.
Certain types of carpets cannot be wetted because they are glued together with special glue. In this case, experts recommend taking the product out into the snow. It will absorb foreign odors, refresh and help get rid of stains.
The carpet is easy to wash at home. This can be done in the bathroom, on the floor, or outdoors. Regular cleaning will prolong the life of the product and return it to its presentation.
