How to forget your ex

To begin with, it is necessary, if possible completely, to remove what will remind of past relationships. These can be general photographs, gifts, things. It is best to get rid of all this without regret. After all, constantly catching the eye, things will evoke associations that will fiddle with still fresh spiritual wounds. You also need to delete phone numbers and contacts on the Internet (well, or at least make sure that his account comes across as little as possible).

 

If possible, stop going to the places where you went together. For example, try not to go to the cafe where you spent your free time with a cup of coffee; a cinema where you watched your common favorite films; a park where you liked to walk in the evenings, etc.

During this period, you will especially need the support of your family and friends. Therefore, do not push them away from you, but try to push your bad mood into the background and, perhaps, talk about what happened, because of which the relationship with your ex-boyfriend cracked and led to a breakup. Your loved ones, like no one else, will be able to listen and, possibly, give useful advice for the current situation. Take an interest, maybe your loved ones also need your help and support, so you can not only get away from your worries, but also take part in the life of your relatives.

 

During this period of “self-flagellation” (as statistics show, people blame themselves twice as much, even if the initiator of the breakup was the other side) try not to withdraw into yourself, but, on the contrary, expand your circle of acquaintances and interests. Yes, yes, you understood correctly, you should not succumb to the blues and spend your evenings “vegetable” in front of the TV, feeling sorry for yourself. It won’t get any better, believe me. It will be better if you plunge headlong into work or find yourself an exciting hobby.

You can also devote your free time to sports, or it is best to sign up for a fitness club, gym or yoga class. Here you can not only usefully spend time for your figure and your health in general, but also make new acquaintances.

A great idea would be to organize a bachelorette party with friends. A cheerful and noisy evening will fly by unnoticed. Heart-to-heart conversations, a lot of jokes and a little alcohol (you need to be as careful with alcohol as possible, it is better to make the dose as small as possible) will help you distract yourself from sad thoughts.

You can also go to a disco. Rhythmic movements, a relaxed atmosphere, admiring glances of the opposite sex – all this will help you cope with depression. The dance will become a kind of release from negative emotions.

You can also try going on a romantic date. Pleasant experiences, an interesting conversation with a still unfamiliar person will help you free yourself from the shackles of the past and, perhaps, start a new love story.

 

Diversity in your “new” life can be introduced in a slightly extravagant way: to make a haircut or dye your hair in the color that you have been thinking about for a long time, but did not dare to give your hair such a shade, go shopping and replenish your wardrobe with new clothes, and, of course however, it is unlikely that any girl can refuse an extra pair of high-heeled shoes. Indulge yourself often with shopping and delicious food and sweets. You can learn how to cook some exotic dish, and then please your loved ones with it.

But what if a small repair is made in the apartment? You can kill several birds with one stone at once. This, firstly, will require your efforts and time, and they will be directed again in yours and only in your favor; secondly, by making changes to the interior, your home will become more comfortable; thirdly, after all, you would have done the repair sooner or later, and then there was such a peculiar reason.

The best option would be a change of scenery. You can go on a long journey, or you can just go out of town for the weekend (fresh air and nature are excellent spiritual healers).

 

Spend your free time as interesting as possible, go on excursions and various exhibitions, visit libraries, walk the streets and parks, learn to enjoy simple things, and you will see that the world is full of bright colors and emotions, and there is no place for sadness!
