How to choose the right oatmeal

Not all oatmeal for breakfast is healthy or nutritious. So that in an hour you do not want to eat and all the nutrients are absorbed with a bang, you should choose the right cereal.

Oatmeal flakes are distinguished by the degree of processing of the original product – oats. For instant flakes, oats are flattened to the thinnest plate and processed thermally, therefore, boil them with enough boiling water, but the vitamin value of such oatmeal is practically zero.

Oatmeal of the original size contains the most vitamins – the one that should be boiled for 20 minutes. Such flakes are only compressed, but not subject to heat treatment.

Pay attention to the packaging – it must be intact and dry, there should be nothing in the composition except the flakes themselves. The shelf life of oatmeal in cardboard is 4 months, in cellophane – a year.

If you do not have time to cook porridge for 20 minutes in the morning – cook it in the evening in a thermos or a jar – lazy oatmeal.
