How to cook pea puree

Products

Peas – 3 cups

Water – 9 glasses

Salt – 2 tablespoons

How to cook

1. Crushed peas are most suitable for mashed peas. It must be sorted out, rinsed and filled with cold water overnight.

2. Drain off the water in which the peas were soaked, rinse the peas again and put in a saucepan, where also add water.

3. Put the saucepan on the fire and bring the water to a boil, skimming off the foam.

4. Reduce heat, cover pot with peas and cook peas for 2 hours. The water should boil away and the peas should turn into mashed potatoes. If not all of the peas have fallen apart, you can additionally grind them using a mixer or pusher.

How to serve pea puree

Serve pea puree with vegetable or butter, fried meat, mushrooms, herbs, hot smoked meat, baked meat. If the peas are served as a side dish, you can sprinkle them with finely chopped onions and add a little garlic. For an appetizer with pea puree, bread with bacon is perfect.

Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons

Green onions – a few stalks

Salt – half a teaspoon

How to cook

1. Sort the peas, rinse, add water and leave for 30 minutes.

2. Drain the water, put the peas in a pressure cooker, add water and simmer at minimum power for 1 hour.

3. Switch off pressure cooker and leave closed for 10 minutes.

4. Chop the pea puree with a mixer, add chopped green onions, salt and oil, mix and leave for another 5 minutes in a pressure cooker to infuse.
