Healthy desserts

I want to write about this topic for a very long time. First of all, because my son is growing up. Very soon he will understand that there is such a component of life as dessert, and that many children are running around with sweets, ice cream, cakes and similar sweets and he will also want to. To be honest, this prospect terrifies me. Well, how can I explain to a small child the concept of “hazardous to health” ??? Probably, only by giving him in return for harmful sweets something more or less harmless or even useful.

In general, I’ve been making a list of such healthy desserts for some time now and I’m ready to share them with you.

And if you can recommend something else from healthy desserts, I will be very grateful!

1. Fruits and berries. Raw and home-processed. Fruit salads; berry smoothies, in summer from fresh berries, and in winter from frozen in season; organic dried fruits. Chips made from fruits and vegetables dried in a dehydrator or in the oven – by the way, it turns out very tasty, I didn’t even expect to try it for the first time. A very important point: fruits cannot be eaten immediately after other food, you need to wait 1-2 hours, otherwise fermentation will begin and, as a result, you feel unwell.

2. Natural dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa content and no sugar is also referred to healthy desserts. This is not sold everywhere, but it can be purchased for future use, which I am doing.

3. Handmade candies from organic ingredients. For example, my favorite store www.rawdinner.ru has ooooooooo delicious options, especially the bounty.

4. Pastila made from natural fruits, berries or juices. Prepared with a dehydrator or conventional oven. The strawberry season will begin very soon, so I will tell you how you can make marshmallow from it:

Ingredients: a kilogram of strawberries, half a lemon, 2 tablespoons of honey or 1 teaspoon of stevioside, half a glass of drinking water, 3 tablespoons of coconut oil.

Preparation: Cut the thoroughly washed strawberries into small pieces. Put the strawberries in a saucepan, add lemon juice and water, bring to a boil and leave on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring constantly. Grind the semi-finished berries in a blender, add honey or stevioside and mix thoroughly again with a blender. Spread baking paper on a baking sheet, brush it with butter and pour the strawberry mass over it. The mass should be evenly distributed over the baking sheet and its thickness should not exceed 1 cm. Place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 150 degrees, and leave in it for 5-6 hours with the door ajar. This is necessary so that the marshmallow turns out to be dried, and not baked. The finished pastille should flatten out within 2 minutes when pressed with a finger. If the candy is ready, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let it cool slightly, cut the candy into pieces, for example, into long strips, let them cool and roll them up. Fold the finished tubes into any shape and store in the refrigerator. Pastila can also be prepared using a dehydrator apparatus.

5. Various homemade baked goods without the use of harmful products such as sugar, wheat flour, ingredients of animal origin. I have already found a lot of suitable recipes for healthy recipes, as I prepare them, I will tell you too. Here’s the first option:

Buckwheat brownie

Ingredients: 250 g of prunes, 300 ml of water, 3 tablespoons with a large slide of natural cocoa powder, 4 tablespoons with a large slide of buckwheat flour (or flaxseed) *, a handful of walnuts or any other nuts, two tablespoons of honey.

Preparation: Rinse prunes thoroughly, steam in boiling water, cut into pieces. Add flour, cocoa, and finely chopped nuts. Mix thoroughly. Pour in water and stir until smooth. Add honey and stir again.

Place in a baking dish and bake at 180оFrom 20-25 minutes. Let cool in the mold, remove and cut into pieces. After cooling in the refrigerator, these baked goods become denser.

* Buckwheat and other types of flour can be bought, for example, here.
