Grandma thought she had menopause, and she was pregnant at 50

The woman found out about the upcoming replenishment only at the 26th week of the term.

When Michelle Hall went out of her period, she thought it was menopause. Well, what else could a 50-year-old woman think? Moreover, the doctor said: there is no chance of getting pregnant, that this is menopause, there can be no doubts.

However, the woman did not worry. She has four children. Michelle gave birth to her first child, Aaron, at the age of 15. Now he is already a grown man – he is 34 years old. There is also a son, Brandon (24 years old), as well as two daughters – Heather (28 years old) and Aubrey (14 years old).

Michelle has already become a grandmother. The eldest daughter, Heather, gave her two grandchildren. But, apparently, Michelle did not plan to especially babysit her daughter’s children. She and her husband were waiting for their youngest Aubrey to grow up and go to college to go on a big trip. But now the trip seems to have to be postponed again.

After several months of delay, Michelle decided to take a pregnancy test anyway – just to be on the safe side. What was her shock when the test turned out to be positive. Michelle could not believe her eyes and immediately ran to the doctor again. But her diagnosis was only confirmed. As it turned out, the woman was already 26 weeks pregnant, she was expecting a boy.

Michelle, a mother of many children, admits that for all those weeks there was not even a hint of pregnancy. No toxicosis, no other signs, she did not even feel that the child was moving.

“I have always considered it complete nonsense that women’s stories that they didn’t know about pregnancy,” Michelle admits. “But now it happened to me.”

Michelle and her husband babysitting their son

The woman was worried that her baby would be born with deviations. After all, she herself has already accumulated a lot of sores, and even at the wrong age of Michelle to give birth.

In addition, the woman felt like an outcast among young mothers. Pensioner – and there too! Finally she found a group of pregnant women in adulthood, and this was a great support. Michelle realized that she would be a great mother to her son, no matter how old she was.

In December 2018, baby Grayson was born. It weighed 2,7 kilograms and was 48,3 centimeters long. At birth, he had a slow heartbeat and signs of sleep apnea (stopping breathing during sleep). For 12 days, Grayson was under the supervision of doctors, after which he was finally brought to his home. Now this is a strong and healthy baby and, undoubtedly, the main favorite of the family.
