Features of fishing

Winter fishing
In winter, fishing is more active in the north, but this fishery is only for real fishermen.

Inhabitants of northern waters

Pike

It is fished throughout the year, fishing in open water is carried out on vents near the coast, as well as on spinning. In casting or trolling, pike can be lured by the following types of lures:
- large wobblers, the depth of which is determined depending on the season and the reservoir chosen for fishing;
- copper-colored and large oscillators, silver and gold ones will not work as efficiently;
- large turntables, it is worth using spinners starting from No. 5 and more;
- soft silicone versions with a jig will also show themselves perfectly, the load and colors are selected individually.
Perch
Locals rarely go fishing for perch, this is not a trophy for them. Visiting fishermen, on the contrary, take great pleasure in catching weighty perches. They are caught with spinning rods, while using turntables or silicone baits with a jig or movable mounting.
When fishing for perch in the northern regions, it is not necessary to use silicone from the edible series, the minke whale responds well to the most primitive options.
Burbot
Behind him it is worth going to the reservoirs at the end of winter, the beginning of spring. It is during this period that the cod brother begins to feed especially actively and becomes less careful. Fishing is done on bottom gear, as bait they choose:
- live bait of a small size from this reservoir;
- lumpy purchased fish;
- crustaceans.
A good option would be chicken liver, local avid fishermen take the largest burbots to such bait.
Catfish
Fishing in the region is also a bottom predator, and the most suitable time will be the autumn period. For catching, spinning rods with a high test are used, as well as bottom gear. On a spinning blank, catfish are excellent for catching dark-colored silicone baits, they will react to a large jigsaw, sometimes they will not disdain a wobbler.

Taimen
The most famous representative of the fish of the northern rivers is the taimen, it is forbidden to catch it, as it is listed in the Red Book. All caught specimens are immediately sent back to the reservoir, they only take a photo for memory.
Sports fishing is often held in the region, it is taimen that regularly appears on the hook, it is attracted by flies, silicone baits, and wobblers.
In the region, peaceful fish are also fished, there is also enough for everyone here. Locals often put nets in small ponds for angling crucian carp to make some room for other fish species.
Crucian
Few of the locals hunt for crucian carp here, but for visiting crucian hunters, it’s just a paradise here. Crucian carp can be caught both on a float and on a feeder, and larger specimens will prefer bait and feeder tackle. Bait can be very diverse:
- bloodworm;
- worm;
- maggot;
- corn;
- pearl barley;
- dough;
- mini-tall.
It is necessary to feed only with the use of bottom gear, and even then not always, in the hottest time of the year, namely in the month of July, no trick will help. The rest of the time, crucian carp will be caught just fine.
Carp
Carp fishing is flourishing, fishing is interesting, and the result is sure to please. You can catch a decent option on a feeder rod, use as a nozzle:
- corn;
- worm;
- peas;
- tall;
- mini-tall;
- maidservant;
- dough;
- artificial types of cereals.
Bream
Fishing bream will bring a lot of pleasure, the main thing is to collect stronger tackle and use the right bait. In the reservoirs of the northern region, trophy specimens can be caught, often a bream weighing 3 kg comes across. It is fished with a feeder and a donkey, worms, maggots, bloodworms are used as bait, the humpback will respond to corn and peas.
sea fishing
Almost the entire north has direct access to the sea, but sea fishing is not particularly common here. The seas of this region are obstinate in nature, strong winds often blow here. Even if you have a good watercraft, fishing may not work due to difficult weather conditions, and there is no point in catching from the shore. Sea fishing in the Far North is not popular; local and visiting anglers prefer to fish in rivers and lakes.
Where are they caught?
The region is rich in reservoirs of various types, there are many rivers and lakes. But not everywhere fishing will be a pleasure, it is simply impossible to reach some places. Most often, fishermen can be found on the banks of the Northern Dvina and the Yenisei, fishing is good in the north of Karelia on the border with Finland. They fish in the North of Yakutia, and fishing in the north of Siberia will make an unforgettable impression on angling beginners.
Winter fishing
Winter fishing in the north is characterized by catching large specimens of different types of fish. Pike and burbot are taken on zherlitsy, live bait is used as bait. Bottom tackle also works perfectly, you can attract the attention of bream and crucian carp in the north with bloodworms and worms.
When freezing is actively used:

- sheer baubles;
- They also fish for a garland of mormyshkas.
