Filling for meat pies. Video recipe

Homemade meat pies are just as popular as sweet-tasting pastries. For all the seeming simplicity of their fillings, minced meat and additional ingredients can be quite diverse, which allows you to get several types of pies at once on one baking sheet.

To prepare it, take:

  • 200 g beef
  • 200 g Pork
  • 1 onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil

Rinse the meat, cut into pieces and prepare minced meat from it. Peel the onion and cut into strips. Fry the meat with onions in vegetable oil for 5 minutes, then pour 50 g of hot water into the pan, mix it with the minced meat and simmer it under the lid until tender. Without water, minced meat as a filling for pies will turn out to be dry.

This filling is basic and can be supplemented with a host of other ingredients that will transform its taste, for example, pickled mushrooms or a couple of stalks of chopped celery.

To prepare it, take:

  • 500 g ready-made minced meat
  • 100 grams of rice
  • 0,5 tsp. salt

You can cook your own minced meat according to the recipe above, or purchase a ready-made convenience product at grocery stores. In this case, also fry it in vegetable oil and simmer. Rinse the rice thoroughly before cooking. Boil in water and salt until tender. Drain the water, mix the rice with the meat and you can start filling the pies.

Chopped green onions are a good addition to this filling.

For this filling you will need:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 3 eggs

Boil eggs until tender, cut into pieces and mix with minced meat. Do not use pure beef for minced meat, as in such a combination the filling will turn out to be too dry.

The meat filling will turn out to be no less tasty if the dough of the pie or pies is filled with smoked meats.

To prepare this filling, use:

  • 500 g smoked chicken breast meat
  • 100 g pitted olives
  • green onions

Cut the meat into small pieces and mix with chopped onions and olives. The taste of such a filling is far from traditional, but quite juicy and original.

For her, take:

  • 0,5 kg of any minced meat
  • 0,5 kg of potatoes
  • 50 g butter
  • some milk

Peel and boil the potatoes until cooked, make mashed potatoes with butter and milk. Mix the resulting puree with the minced meat and you can fill the pies. To prepare the filling according to this recipe, you can use any minced meat – even from beef, even from chicken, since its dieteticity and dryness will be fully compensated by the juiciness of mashed potatoes.
