Duties of the guardian of a minor child: the guardian
The responsibilities of a guardian are almost equal to those of a parent. If a person takes responsibility for raising a baby, he must comply with all the requirements of the law.
Obligations of the Guardian in Raising a Minor Child
Guardians should take care of the health, physical, psychological and intellectual development of the ward, about his education, about the protection of rights and freedoms.
Guardian responsibilities are designed to protect the person concerned
All responsibilities are clearly defined by law:
- Take care of the upbringing of the baby, provide him with clothes, food and other things necessary for life.
- Provide the pupil with care and timely treatment.
- Provide the ward with basic education.
- Give him the opportunity to communicate with relatives, provide such communication.
- To represent the rights and interests of your little pupil in front of society and the state.
- Ensure that the pupil receives all the payments due to him.
- Take care of the property of the ward, but do not dispose of it at your own discretion.
- Make sure that the ward receives all the necessary payments for harm caused to him or to his health.
The guardian can be released from the listed obligations only for three reasons: he returned the ward to his parents, placed him in an educational institution under the guardianship of the state, and submitted a corresponding petition. In the latter case, the petition must be supported by a significant reason, such as serious illness or poor financial condition.
What is forbidden to the trustee
In the first place, the guardian is forbidden to refuse to fulfill his direct obligations. In addition, he and his close blood and non-blood relatives do not have the right to:
- make transactions with the ward, except for the registration of a deed of gift for the pupil;
- represent the pupil in court;
- receive loans in the name of the pupil;
- transfer property on behalf of the pupil on any grounds;
- to appropriate personal property and money of the pupil, including his pension or alimony.
Please note that the guardian is responsible for all transactions that were made on behalf of his pupil. Also, the guardian will be responsible before the law if his ward or the property of the ward is harmed.
Monitor the execution of your duties so that there are no problems with the law. Remember, all the effort spent is worth the happy eyes of the child you are raising.
