Children’s rights in kindergarten: law, violation, protection, duties

Every preschool institution must guarantee the protection of children’s rights. Physical or emotional pressure on a child will cause problems in adulthood.

Children’s rights in kindergarten

A child is a small member of society and has its own rights. These guidelines must be strictly followed in any preschool institution.

Respect for the rights of the child in kindergarten should be strictly controlled

In order for a child to be able to fully develop, he needs to create the appropriate conditions. The little man has the right to:

  • Life, health and getting the necessary medical care. A preschool institution must have a medical office.
  • The game. Through play, a small person learns the world around him. A sufficient amount of time should be allowed for this.
  • Education and development of physical and creative abilities.
  • Protection from violence and cruelty. This applies not only to physical methods, but also to emotional ones. In cases of public humiliation, the use of harsh words, insults and shouting, you need to contact the higher authorities.
  • Protection of interests and needs. The teacher must devote all his time to children. It is not allowed for a kindergarten employee to go about their business instead of looking after the children.
  • Good nutrition. The child’s body is developing rapidly, so it needs good nutrition. You need to feed your children nourishing and varied.

Some of the rights of children are regulated by the preschool institutions themselves, so it will not be superfluous to familiarize yourself with these documents. The child, in turn, should try to behave with dignity and education, fulfill his duties, respect and honor adults, be obedient and modest.

Violation and protection of children’s rights under the law

Parents need to sound the alarm if in preschool:

  • the child is humiliated, intimidated and isolated from peers;
  • due attention is not paid to the safety of the baby’s health and life;
  • the needs of the little person are ignored;
  • there is no opportunity to freely express your feelings and thoughts;
  • the inviolability of the child’s personal belongings is not respected.

The law prescribes that you first write an application addressed to the director of the kindergarten, and if this does not work, contact the state authorities.

Children’s rights should not only be known, but also be able to defend them. Therefore, it is necessary to closely monitor the behavior of the child in order to detect problems in his kindergarten life in time.
