In many communities, a myth has lingered over the years that the size of the penis is related to the length of the foot. British medics decided to face this claim and collected the results of many studies to clearly confirm or contradict this thesis. Canadian and Korean scientists have also explored the link between penis size and the size of other parts of the body. The latter discovered an interesting relationship.
- Scientists from different countries have devoted their research to the issue of penis length and whether it has anything to do with foot size
- In the UK, many men of different ages have been tested, but only a slight correlation between penis length and age and weight was observed.
- Research by scientists from Canada also did not confirm the relationship between the size of the penis and the size of the foot
- Only Koreans found that the length of the penis is slightly correlated with its circumference, and this is related to the age and height of the subject and … the length of some fingers

The publicly funded NHS (National Health Service), a community of three out of four health systems in Great Britain, has published on its official website the results of research on the average length of British men’s penises and the correlation between penis length and foot size. The NHS based its publication on a study by University College London on a group of 104 men, including teenagers and retirees, with an average age of 54.
The results, which were published in the British Journal of Urology International in 2002, showed that the average length of British penises is 13 cm. The study measured them when they were soft and slightly stretched, which doctors believe is the best chance of measuring their length correctly. All penis measurements were performed by two urologists and recorded with an accuracy of 0,5 cm. The smallest penis measured in the study was 6 cm and the longest was 18 cm.
Koreans and Canadians also studied the sizes of feet and penises
The men participating in the study wore shoes of an average size corresponding to the European 43. Checking whether the length of the foot was in any way related to the length of the penis, scientists came to the simple conclusion that … such a relationship does not exist. The “British Journal of Urology” says on this subject:
Many believe that a man’s penis size can be estimated by judging various other parts of his body, most often the shoe size. The ability to predict a man’s penis size by observing the size of his shoe is a common misconception. This study shows that there is no scientific support for this relationship.
Interestingly, however, the cited study shows that there is weak evidence that the more advanced the subject’s age or higher BMI, the greater the chances that his penis will be smaller.
Scientists from other parts of the world have also researched how penis size can be linked to the size of the foot and other parts of the body. According to Insider’s reports, a study conducted in Canada on a group of 63 men in 1993 showed results similar to the British ones. Although there was a slight correlation between larger feet and longer penises, it was so small that it was stated: “foot size would not serve as a practical estimate of penis length.”
The claim that “big feet equals a big penis” is a myth
Dr. Nesochi Okeke-Igbokwe, a physician and health expert, told Insider: «It is almost futile to try to predict a person’s penis size from the size of their feet. The available studies do not show any scientific evidence that could conclusively connect the two — penile length and shoe size — but the myth of “big feet equals a big penis” still dominates popular culture.
In 1999, a similar study was conducted in Korea. At that time, 655 men over 17 years of age took part in them. Interestingly, in this case, it was discovered that the length of the penis is slightly correlated with its circumference, and this is related to the age and height of the examined person and … the length of the first and third fingers. Korean scientists on the basis of their research concluded that: “the index of the human body including the size or characteristics of the limbs is not enough to predict the size of the penis”.
According to Insider’s reports, the journal “Human Andrology” also published studies comparing the body dimensions of 1 thousand. men with the lengths of their penises. This study, like the Korean one, showed a positive relationship between penis length and girth, but did not identify any significant relationship between penis length and the size of any other part of the body.
So, data from researchers around the world suggest that you can’t tell how big someone’s penis is by looking at any other part of that person’s body.
