DIY bouquet: master class

DIY bouquet: master class

How can you make an original gift for March 8 with your own hands at home? It’s very simple if you take advantage of our festive master class! We compose an unusual decorative composition of flowers, fruits and peppers, using an ordinary kitchen pot holder instead of a vase. Children can be involved in work: it will be interesting for them to make, together with their dad or older sister, an original gift for mom, a gift that you cannot buy in any store.

To create a festive bouquet for March 8, we need:

– mitten-potholder in warm colors,

– sponge brick “piaflor” (for fresh flowers),

– flowers: yellow-orange gerbera, three red spray chrysanthemums, five carnations, yellow raffia,

– thin packaging film, hot glue and an electric gun for it,

– floral wire, white tape, knife, scissors,

– for decoration: white minid rings, pieces of birch bark, decorative light curls (2 pcs.), Artificial berries (rose hips, cherries, mountain ash – what is), pepper, spoon, fork.

1. Place the sponge in the mitten

First, we soak the sponge in a container of water, having previously made a cylinder out of it, corresponding in diameter and length to our mitten.

When soaking a sponge, remember that it cannot be “drowned” by force: the brick must submerge itself under the water, otherwise it will be saturated unevenly.

We wrap the wet sponge with a film, leaving only the end part not wrapped, which will “look out” from the mitten.

2. We start composing the composition

Cut the minid rings into arc segments approximately 25-30 cm long, insert them one by one into the sponge.

We will have a “waterfall” of white threads pouring out of the potholder.

3. We wrap the wire with tape

Next, we wrap the thin wires with white teip tape, wrapping them in a spiral, with an overlap.

Press the ends of the tape with your fingers to the wire – they will stick themselves.

We plant berries (rose hips, cherries, etc.) and pepper on the ends of the wires, after dropping glue on their bases.

We make wires with berries and peppers of different lengths.

6. Insert the wires with berries into the sponge

We insert our berries on wire bases into the sponge so that they do not clump in one place, but are located along the entire length of the minid rings.

We decorate minid rings with birch bark patches, sticking them on different parts of the composition.

We supplement the composition with flowers: we insert a clipped gerbera, chrysanthemums, carnations into the oasis.

Don’t forget about decorative curls.

We will get a cascading bouquet with a base in a potholder mitten.

9. Attach the fork and spoon

We complement the composition with a fork and a spoon tied with a yellow raffia thread. We attach them to the handle.
