People with blood group 4, according to Dr. Peter D’Adamo himself, the author of the famous diet by blood group, are the most mysterious of all. And it is not at all easy to follow a diet according to the IV blood group. Partly because the list of permitted foods is not long, and partly because one of the weakest aspects of the “mystery” people is their rather vulnerable digestive system.

Features of the diet for the 4th blood group

The blood type 4 diet is literally a “mystery” diet. This is the name of the type to which people with the fourth blood group are referred. Naturopaths believe that the “riddles” combine not only the strengths of the “farmers” and “nomads” (and hence – strong immunity and the ability to adapt to new conditions and a new diet), but also their weaknesses – for example, an unstable nervous system, a tendency to diseases of the cardiovascular system and oncology.

The diet for the 4th blood group takes into account these characteristics of the body. And he recommends using the following products to maintain health and create an attractive, slim figure:

  • Soy products, especially tofu. They contribute to the normalization of metabolism and are well absorbed.

  • Fish and seafood. Given the exclusion of meat products from the diet, it is very important to saturate it with alternative foods – sources of amino acids and valuable minerals. It is very useful to use such types of fish as: tuna, salmon, trout, mackerel, sardines. As well as mussels and caviar.

  • Milk and dairy products. For people with blood group 4, “milk” helps to improve the secretion of the thyroid gland, stimulate the metabolism.

  • Green vegetables and fruits. Since people with the fourth blood group tend to have a weak digestive system, it is very important to saturate the diet with foods rich in fiber. They enhance peristalsis, help improve metabolism and prevent intoxication of the body.

Diet for the 4th blood group: what foods are prohibited?

The blood group 4 diet also has its own “black list”. First of all, it includes foods recommended for the blood group 1 diet, since naturopaths consider “hunters” and “riddles” to be some kind of opposites, the brightest antipodes. So, people with the fourth blood group are not recommended to use:

  • Red meat and meat products. The adherents of the D’Adamo system assure that the “Riddles”, like the “Farmers”, it is best to practice vegetarianism, completely abandoning meat – people of these categories do not digest it well, risking provoking in themselves the occurrence of various diseases, primarily associated with the gastrointestinal tract system …

  • All kinds of beans. This product slows down the metabolic process and causes hypoglycemia.

  • Corn, buckwheat, wheat – for the same reason: they slow down digestion and inhibit the absorption of nutrients.

Of the fruits, oranges, bananas, pomegranates, persimmons, guavas, mangoes and coconuts are contraindicated.

  • Drinking orange juice is not recommended, all other drinks are either healthy or neutral.

  • It is also useful to introduce a small amount of rye bread, rice, dry red wine and almost any berries into the diet for blood group 4. But the harm to health and the figure of “mysterious” people can be caused by coffee, black tea and sugary carbonated drinks, as well as mushrooms and all kinds of nuts.
