The Day of Folk Artistic Crafts only seems to be a young holiday. It has recently begun to be celebrated at the All- level, but, for example, in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a similar celebration on the same date – the penultimate Sunday of June – has been celebrated since 2013. And it was the legislative assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region that initiated the removal of the Day of Folk Art Crafts to the interregional level.
About 350 handicraft enterprises operate in Our Country in more than 60 regions of Our Country. To support people employed in this area (and there are more than 30 thousand of them!), As well as to popularize one of the important aspects of culture, the holiday was established.
Therefore, on June 17, 2022, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, President Vladimir Putin announced the creation of an all- celebration. The corresponding decree appeared on the Official Internet Portal of Legal Information on the same day (1).
