Climbing plants are both perennial and annual. Here is a list of beautiful and unpretentious perennial vines to care for.

Basic rules for planting climbing plants

When planting all climbing vines, it is necessary to dig a hole into which all the roots of the plant will enter, at a distance of 20 centimeters from the support, wall or hedge. Mix the soil with compost in a 1: 1 ratio, place the seedling so that the shoots look away from the support, water well.

You need to carefully choose wooden supports, because they are strongly exposed to adverse weather effects and perennial vines can simply collapse at the most inopportune moment. The wood for such supports must be specially impregnated or fired. Colorful annual climbing plants

For those who are not confident in their abilities or do not want to wait a long time for the violent flowering of vines, you can try to grow annual climbing plants in your garden. For these purposes, sweet peas and morning glory are quite suitable. Ipomoea grows rapidly, twists on any supports to any height, has gramophone flowers of various colors. The main care for her will be abundant watering and sunlight. It blooms from mid-summer to the very frost. Self-seeding sprouts may well sprout next year, which will give even earlier flowering.

Sweet peas are not so tall, but they have not only colors of all colors of the rainbow, but also an unusually pleasant smell, which intensifies in the evening or before the rain. By the way, sweet peas grow well on the balcony. He also loves watering and sunlight.

One of the most beautiful and popular lianas is purple dolichos. It has beautiful leaves with burgundy veins and white, purple or lilac fragrant inflorescences. Such a beautiful plant also loves good care: light, warmth, watering in dry weather and loose soil rich in fertilizers. It is planted with seedlings or seeds at the end of May, dolichos blooms from early July until frost.

The combination of perennial vines, beautiful climbing annual flowers, undersized plants and ornamental shrubs can create fabulous beauty on a plot of any size, turn a simple piece of land into a dream garden of paradise for the entire warm season.
