Mullet is a very tasty fatty fish. It is good to salt, smoke and, of course, fry. There are several ways to cook this Black Sea fish. Fry it in flour, breadcrumbs and batter.

How to fry mullet in corn flour

You will need: – 500 g of mullet; – 100 g of corn or wheat flour; – vegetable oil for frying; – salt and black pepper to taste.

Peel the mullet from the scales, rinse under cold water to wash off the adhered scales. Then cut open the abdomen and take out the insides, also peel off the dark film. Cut off the head. Wash the fish again and remove excess moisture with napkins. Cut the mullet into slices about 3 cm wide. Rub the fish with salt and black pepper. Determine the quantity according to your preference. Pour corn flour into a plate, if not, replace with wheat flour. Place a skillet on the stove, add vegetable oil and turn on medium heat. When the oil is hot, take the pieces of mullet and roll them in corn flour, then place in the pan. Fry until golden brown, then turn over and fry again. Serve the cooked mullet with fried potatoes and vegetable salad.

You will need: – 500 g of mullet; – 3 eggs; – 5 tbsp. bread crumbs; – vegetable oil for frying; – ground black pepper and salt to taste.

Peel the mullet from scales and entrails, wash and cut into portions. Take out the large bones and ridge. Pour the beaten eggs into a bowl, season with salt and pepper, and stir. Dip the fish into a bowl of egg mixture. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. sprinkle breadcrumbs into a plate. Remove the pieces of mullet from the egg mixture and roll in breadcrumbs, then fry on both sides. Serve with rice or potatoes.

Combine flour, milk and beaten egg. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet, dip the fish pieces into the batter and immediately transfer to the skillet. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
