Christmas 2015: gift ideas for every age
Christmas is just around the corner and, like many parents, you lack inspiration. Don’t panic, we’ve made a selection of the best toys for each age. Because, in fact, at 2, 3, 4 years old, the preferences are not the same.
1-2 years: toys to wake up
At the age of the first discoveries, nothing like an early learning game! The activity rattle with suction cup awakens the little one while they are seated in their high chair. Between 1 and 2 years old, the first universe constructions develop logic, observation and imagination in toddlers. The rocking horse is a timeless and irresistible classic that gives a great feeling of freedom! And, once the walk is acquired, it is the moment to discover the balance and to roll towards new horizons! The circuit is also a great classic which awakens coordination, fascinates by the movement of “tchou-tchou” which the little one never tires of!
2- 3 years old, games that stimulate the imagination!
From 2 years, the child enters the phase of imagination. He invents lots of situations and brings the characters to life in a miniature universe of his size… What a pleasure to play with dolls, to do their hair, to dress them and to tell them a whole bunch of stories! The interactive characters are popular like the bear that responds when you press on its belly. Learn while having fun, he’ll love it!
3- 5 years old: he likes to tell stories
Between 3 and 5 years old, imitation games, like the bench, help children to play “grown-ups”, to assert themselves and to resolve frustrations and tensions. Another essential imitation game: the stove. Some have a mixed look to also appeal to boys. At this age, children love mini-universes and their characters. Ideal for telling stories. Fortified castles make it possible to invent tons of adventures for budding knights.
5 years and +: increasingly sophisticated toys
The child grows up and takes more and more pleasure in playing. Robots are playmates that stimulate the imagination. Interactive animals increasingly imitate real ones. The dollhouses can be transformed endlessly to the delight of the little ones.
