Castor oil for eyelashes. Video recipe

In order to restore beauty, strength and health to eyelashes, it is not necessary to use super-expensive cosmetics. A similar effect can be achieved with the help of safe folk remedies, and in particular, castor oil.

Castor oil contains a high content of linoleic and oleic acids, due to which it has emollient properties and can be used by owners of sensitive skin. Also in castor oil there is a whole storehouse of useful elements, so this tool perfectly nourishes the hair follicles, strengthens the hairs, prevents them from falling out and even accelerates the growth of cilia.

How to apply castor oil to eyelashes

If you have an old bottle with a mascara brush, wash it thoroughly, rinse it with boiling water and dry it. Then pour castor oil into a bottle. Using a brush, apply castor oil to lashes, moving smoothly from the base of the hair to the ends. After 13-15 minutes, remove the remaining oil with a dry cotton swab. Remember that castor oil should never be left on the eyelashes overnight: this will provoke reddening of the skin around the eyes and cause swelling of the eyelids.

Apply the oil gently: it should not get on the mucous membrane of the eyes

The course of treatment for eyelashes is 4–5 weeks (during this period, you need to smear the eyelashes with castor oil daily). Then it is recommended to take a two-week break and repeat the wellness procedures.

Castor masks for eyelashes

At home, you can make many different castor oil based eyelash masks. So, take 7-8 g of petroleum jelly, 1/5 g of Shostakovsky balm and 5-6 g of castor oil and mix these components. Apply the prepared cocktail to the lashes removed from mascara and leave for 27-30 minutes. The recommended frequency of this procedure is twice a week.

In addition, an oil mixture consisting of castor, rose, almond, linseed and grape seed oils, as well as wheat germ oil (take the components in equal parts) has a beneficial effect on the condition of these hairs. Apply the prepared cocktail on your eyelids and leave it on for 7-10 minutes. Then remove the residue with a dry cotton swab.

It is often not recommended to use this cocktail: it is enough to apply it on the eyelashes twice a week.

Or mix aloe juice with castor oil (30:70 ratio). If suddenly there is no aloe juice, you can replace it with peach juice. Apply the mixture to the eyelashes and remove after 13-15 minutes. Prepare a chamomile broth, cool it and strain, and then soak cotton pads in it and put on eyelids for 15-17 minutes.
