Expectations: with a good base for eye makeup, any shadow will last all day and even more! Therefore, the durability of the eyeshadows is not the most important thing for me, but each palette should be well pigmented and not crumble (otherwise no base will help).

Reality: The Hypnose Pallete Matte from Lancome’s new fall collection contains five shades that go well with each other. 2 double-sided applicators with different brushes will help you create both a light daytime make-up and a richer one for the evening. Without a base, shadows last 4-5 hours, which is a good result. Four matte shades and one that resembles a highlighter, it gets along well on the area under the eyebrow.

Resistance: 4-5 hours without base.

Evaluation: 9 out of 10 points. Great eyeshadow, but I thought they were missing a bit of pigmentation. But if you are looking for a palette of light shades for every day, Hypnose Pallete Matte is the one for you.

– With the onset of autumn, I literally fell ill with shadows and palettes. To my surprise, I found it very, very difficult to find a good matte eyeshadow palette. I have a favorite Clarins palette, in which I only use two shades, just because they are the only ones without shimmer and shimmer. So the palette from Gosh turned out to be quite useful: it contains as many as nine shades – completely natural and matte.

Expectations: the product description says the eyeshadow is easy to mix and shade. In addition, 9 universal shades can be mixed with each other and create an infinite number of images. For me, it was important that the eyeshadow had good opacity, color saturation and durability.

Reality: I’ll start with the pros. I got a palette called To be Cool in Copenhagen, which includes shades of universal shades: beige, gray, brown, charcoal, cream, ash, etc. For me, the shades were unusually cold. For example, the brown in this palette had a slightly lilac undertone on the skin. With this makeup, the skin seems a little lighter than it really is. For me this is not a problem, but for those for whom this nuance is important, I advise you to think ten times before buying, since some shades can give the face an unhealthy tone.

I really liked the texture: matte, easy to apply even with a finger, and shade. The colors are dense and rich, as I like. The eyelids do not shine or shine all day.

And now about the cons. First, the palette is not equipped with brushes. I had to use a brush from the Clarins palette. Secondly, I was not pleased with the perseverance: after a few hours the shadows huddled in the crease of the eyelids and turned very pale. Thirdly, when typing with a brush, they are very dusty. It is necessary to apply shadows on the eyelid very carefully so that colored dust does not accidentally fall on other parts of the face.

Persistence: 5 hours maximum, maybe even less.

Evaluation: 8 of 10. I took off points for two significant shortcomings. The lack of a brush is not critical for me.

– Shadows – that little from my arsenal of cosmetics, to the choice of which I approach very responsibly. Still would! After all, with the help of shadows, you can both emphasize the beauty of the eyes, and paint something that will make you look like a panda. When I got hold of the Alvin D’or Crystal Eye Shadow palette, I decided to check – will this be a one-time meeting or will it develop into a long-term relationship?

Reality: I decided that if I was to be creative, then to the fullest. Therefore, I decided to come up with several images for myself and try the shadows in all sorts of options. So, the palette contains 8 harmoniously combined shades, which means that there can be a great many ideas for makeup. But I decided to focus on two options: everyday and evening. For daytime make-up, I chose light and deep brown shades, and applied a white shade under the eyebrows (I am glad that the manufacturers did not forget to add it to the palette). It turned out well. However, in my opinion, after applying the shadows faded and the makeup looked more than pale. Apparently this is because the light shades are not well pigmented. On another occasion, I decided to experiment with Smoky eyes, gently blending a white and charcoal black shade on the eyelid. This is where I fully appreciated the durability of the product! Shadows with a soft creamy texture, lie flat, do not clog into folds. In addition, the packaging is quite convenient: there is a completely “working” mirror and two double-sided sponges. Do you think the chest just opened? But no! It is convenient to use this tool, but to open the package itself … I lost several nails until I got to my goal. But this small minus is fully paid off by the big pluses. In addition, the undoubted advantage of this product is that even without a base, the product lasts for a rather long time (I have about 5 hours), without crumbling or smearing.

Evaluation: 9 out of 10. Great eye shadow for everyday use that does not cause allergies, perfectly accentuates the green color of the eyes and is quite affordable. And I had to take off the point for an unequal fight with the packaging, in which I broke off several nails.

– I prefer natural makeup, so I always have at hand palette of eyeshadows of golden-beige-brown shades that you can safely mix with each other and always get new beautiful tones. Smokey Eye Drama Kit, 02 Lavish Onyx won me over primarily with its color scheme. Before that, I had never used Max Factor eyeshadows, which made it more interesting to test the product.

Expectations: in any means for make-up, first of all, resistance is important to me. I would like to apply cosmetics in the morning and forget about it until the evening.

The manufacturer Smokey Eye Drama Kit writes that the palette of eyeshadows from the fall collection has not only rich shades, but also durability. True, the time, how long the remedy can hold out on the face, is not specified.

Reality: in fact, the Smokey Eye Drama Kit palette, which, by the way, is intended not only for the eyelids, but also for the eyebrows (the darkest shade), turned out to be very good. I was a little afraid of glitter, but, to my surprise, when it came into contact with the skin, they were practically not noticeable, and most importantly, they did not crumble during the day. I was also pleased with the texture: it is very pleasant and soft, it fits perfectly, it is immediately absorbed and does not spread. I applied the product both with the pads of my fingers and with the brushes offered in the set – both options did not fail.

Persistence: passed with shadows about nine o’clock. By the evening they became a little paler (but that’s if you really find fault).

Rating: 10 out of 10. Perhaps these are some of the best eyeshadows I have tried. I personally did not see any shortcomings. The collection, by the way, includes six sets with different shades.

– It so happened that in my cosmetic bag there are always Clarins shadows. For some reason, sets for the eyelids and eyebrows of this particular brand are given to me most often. But I immediately fell in love with the 4-Color Eyeshadow Palette, 01 Nude, from the autumn collection. More precisely, in her four warm autumn colors, which are ideally combined with each other.

Expectation: As I said on the previous page when describing Max Factor shadows, in cosmetics I value persistence. Well, and also the matching of shades in the palette and on the skin.

The manufacturer writes that the shadows can be applied both dry and wet. In the first case, the shades will look natural, and in the second, the tones on the skin will become brighter and deeper.

Reality: I want to start with shades. They are 100% true (that is, they do not become lighter or change tone when in contact with the skin, as is often the case with other brands of shadows). Clarins is clear about that. And when applied dry, by the way, a rather saturated color is obtained, so if you want naturalness, barely touch the eyelids with a brush.

Now about the endurance. The shadows lasted for about five hours. When caught in the rain, they crumbled a little and smeared.

Persistence: about five hours.

Rating: 9 out of 10. It is a pity that we could not stand the rain.

Expectations: Givenchy is a luxury brand. What are my expectations for a cosmetic product? I’ll put on my makeup and be the queen right away. Moreover, the whole day. And if I don’t wash, then until the morning. (Joke!)

Reality: Givenchy Prisme Quatuor Eyeshadow contains four shades that look harmonious together, and in a duo of two colors to choose from. Includes two sponge applicators. Personally, it is more convenient for me to have a brush at the end, but this applicator does not let me down. In the process of using the shadows were applied evenly and accurately.

The colors are bright and rich, with a pearlescent hue. To some, when considering, the palettes may seem pretentious, but in practice, the shadows are simply gorgeous. Even dark tones are perfectly acceptable for everyday use.

Persistence: about 8 hours without a base. Moreover, the shadows did not crumble and did not roll, but only faded.
