Attractions: for children, the most dangerous

It seems that nothing threatens kids on the playground or in an amusement park. However, dozens of toddlers and adolescents are injured and even killed every summer.

It would seem that it is dangerous. Soft, without sharp corners and dangerous mechanisms. However, strong winds can turn a trampoline into a “flying ship”.

And so it happened the other day in the village of Romanovka in the Leningrad region. The inflatable structure was blown away by a gust of wind. Three kids fell on the asphalt. Two of them were then taken to the hospital with injuries. It turned out that the trampoline was installed illegally and poorly secured.

A similar case occurred on May 31 in Znamensk, Astrakhan region. As a result, two kids are in the hospital. In the summer of last year in Kemerovo, a boy broke his spine, falling along with a trampoline. And in Great Britain, a seven-year-old girl died two years ago: a gust of wind overturned a bouncy castle.

It happened just the other day in the children’s corner of one of the shopping centers in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Mom put the child on a small swing, but as soon as the girl swayed, the structure collapsed, crushing the baby. It turned out that the swing was poorly fixed. Fortunately, the child escaped with bruises.

But there are injuries and more serious. Six months ago in the Kirov region, sixth-grader Veronica broke her shoulder in a fallen swing. And this case is not an isolated one.

And this tragedy happened five years ago in the family of the musician Roma Zhukov. His 5-year-old daughter Lisa stuck her head between the support and the moving part of the swing. The seat hit the child hard on the head. The open trauma to the skull turned out to be too serious – the girl could not be saved. Later, a check found out: the design of the swing did not meet the standards.

Three years ago in Kislovodsk, at full speed from a height of one and a half meters, a cabin with girls 8 and 9 years old collapsed. One had an abdominal trauma, the other had a vertebral fracture. Investigators found out that no one has been involved in maintenance and security checks of the attraction for a long time.

In the yards, small roundabouts are often installed: children are spinning, pushing off with their hands from the counter in the middle. This year a 6-year-old boy decided to ride such a carousel in the Vsevolozhsk region. The hand got into a rotating part, the result was a broken arm and a finger. And in Magnitogorsk, a 9-year-old schoolboy was rescued from such a carousel by rescuers: his leg was completely stuck between the broken floorboards.

It would seem that playing football in the summer is the most common thing for boys. But a football goal can fall on a child, cripple and even kill.

On May 31, in the Kirov region, during a training session, a thirteen-year-old boy was crushed. The teenager has an open craniocerebral injury and a contusion of the brain. This gate was in the sports center. And who looks after the football goals in the courtyards? Yes, no one, installed and forgotten.

In Kislovodsk on June 6, such a gate fell on a teenager, breaking his back and nose. On May 18, a 6-year-old child was injured in Zelenograd: he began to swing on the crossbar of the gate, and they fell. As a result, the baby was taken to the hospital with a traumatic brain injury.

Only from the beginning of this year, the old and poorly fixed gates have already claimed the lives of several boys in the Amur, Kirov, and Nizhny Novgorod regions. And so every summer.

Small electric cars, fenced area, low speed – what could happen? In Novosibirsk, a 5-year-old boy was electrocuted and burned through his jacket and T-shirt. Diagnosis: electric shock, burn. Now investigators are looking into what could have been the cause.

Climbing a real mountain is dangerous. But even a teenage “rock” in an amusement park can be thrown off.

A year and a half ago, in an amusement park of a shopping center, a 7-year-old fell from a 16-meter height: the safety carabiner unbuttoned. A compression fracture of the spine, a broken leg and a head injury chained the young man to a hospital bed for a long time.

In St. Petersburg, three years ago, a seventh grade student fell off a “cliff”, broke his collarbone and ankle. Two years ago, an unfortunate incident occurred in Tyumen: a 12-year-old child fell from a 4-meter height and broke both arms. The audit found that the insurance was incorrectly secured.

It seems that when there is such an intertwining of ropes, you will not fall in any way, you will have time to grab onto something. But last summer in Abakan, an 11-year-old boy successfully passed the track, at a height of two meters he unfastened the belay and slipped. As a result, a fracture of the pelvis and arm.

The parents of the injured 15-year-old girl from Perm managed to sue the money for the injury of their daughter. She hit her foot on a wooden platform and broke her leg.

After several emergencies, it is already known: zorbing can be dangerous. Including for children.

Last spring in Yakutsk, a 6-year-old boy wanted to go to the water attraction “Ball on the Water”. The parents allowed it. And the ball suddenly began to deflate, the child almost suffocated.

Thrill seekers sometimes take children with them. And in vain, because anything happens. Three years ago in Yekaterinburg, a 33-year-old man and his 10-year-old daughter were riding a roller coaster, at a height of five meters their trolley derailed and collapsed to the ground. The father got off with bruises and bruises, the girl hurt her head.
