Anthracobia maurilabra belongs to a large family of pyronemics, while it is a species that is little studied.

It grows in all regions, it is a carbophil fungus, as it prefers to grow in areas after fires. It also occurs on rotten wood, forest floor, and bare soil.

Fruit bodies – apothecia are cup-shaped, sessile. The sizes are very different – from a few millimeters to 8-10 centimeters.

The surface of the bodies has a bright orange color, since pigments from the group of carotenoids are present in the pulp. Many specimens have a slight pubescence.

Anthracobia maurilabra, although found in all regions, is a rare species.

The mushroom belongs to the category of inedible.
