PSYchology

Bullying among children has only recently become the subject of widespread discussion. And it became clear how much prejudice there is in society on this score.

The most pernicious is the idea that the victim is to blame (and a milder version — that the victim is simply too sensitive). It is precisely this position that Norwegian psychologist Kristin Oudmeier, whose daughter was also harassed at school, is primarily struggling with.

She explains how to recognize that a child has been bullied, what consequences this may have for his future, what parents should do. The main message of the author: children cannot cope with this problem alone, they need us to be around. A similar task is faced by the parents of the child-aggressor — after all, he also needs help.
