The first store in the world, where cucumbers are the only product, opened recently in Helsinki.
The store Concept Store (Cucumber Concept Store) not only sells cucumbers, its appearance is intended, firstly, to create a good mood for visitors, and secondly, to fight against EU norms.
This is exactly how the store’s mission was conveyed by its representative Michael Grenfors: “Our mission is to highlight the problem of cucumbers in the EU, the trade of which is very strictly regulated by the norms of the commonwealth”.
What does Michael mean? It is known that all goods on the EU internal market must meet general requirements, especially for agricultural products. Brussels even set the parameters for the size and curvature of cucumbers.
The Cucumber Concept Store also believes that the goal of the world’s first cucumber store is global: “to influence people’s lives.”
– Perhaps we will get more experience than from simple trading. We want customers to be positive and leave in a good mood, ”Gronfors said.
The store promises to consider arranging themed dinners. The concept of the dinner will not be defined until recently, so every visit will be a surprise for the client.
