9 Signs of Dehydration: Don’t Let Yourself Dry

For many, the amount of water recommended by experts that should be drunk daily, at first glance, is unbearable. For example, for my mom. She claims that she “cannot and does not want” to drink water – that’s all. And so he doesn’t drink it at all. In my opinion, mom is wrong and damages her body, so for her and the same “camels” (in the sense that they do not drink water) I am writing this post. The fact is that the body’s need for water does not always manifest itself directly: when a feeling of thirst appears, it means that your body has been experiencing a water shortage for a long time.

Signs of incipient dehydration:

– dry mouth and dry lips; also a sticky feeling may appear in the mouth;

– difficulty concentrating;

– tiredness;

– increased heart rate;

– headache;

– dizziness;

– intense thirst;

– a state of confusion;

– lack of tears (during crying).

Don’t ignore these symptoms, especially if you notice several of them at the same time. To combat dehydration, slowly drink water or freshly squeezed vegetable juice until the thirst disappears. A banana or other fruit can help restore lost minerals.

If you know you will be working or exercising in hot, dry conditions, drink plenty of water beforehand.

Even mild dehydration, if it occurs frequently, can trigger health problems such as heartburn, constipation, kidney stones, and kidney failure. Severe dehydration can lead to a halt in the body and shock. Therefore, remember the first signs of dehydration in order to take timely measures and protect your health when they occur.

If you have any medical conditions (such as kidney problems or heart failure), be sure to check with your doctor before increasing your water intake.
