Trailers, campers – they have many names. And the owners appreciate them for the fact that every day you can wake up in a new place.
Of course, it is hardly possible to lead such a free lifestyle all the time. Yes, and probably get tired of constantly driving on the roads. But for a vacation or auto travel (they will open the borders someday) – a great option. However, some do manage to make a mobile home their permanent residence.

Sometimes the house is “immobilized” for this. For example, the story of Jesse Lipskin at one time bypassed all Western media – the girl spent three years trying to turn an old bus into a home on wheels.
“My inspiration was the documentary Dreams from the Trash. In it, architect Michael Reynolds designs and builds mobile homes using completely recycled materials. This echoed my desire for a green life. And I decided to make a change, ”says Jesse.
Conventional vans lacked aesthetics, in her opinion. So she chose an old bus – really old, made in 1966. Keanu Reeves rode this one in Speed. Jesse has invested in her future home a lot of money – about 70 thousand dollars – and three years of work. But it turned out to be a miracle: a full-fledged house with a toilet and shower, a bedroom, a kitchen, a dressing room and even a tiny library. And yes – he’s on the move.
Another story – a couple bought a school bus and turned it into a cozy house. It’s completely self-contained, quite large for a mobile home, and perfect for traveling together.
“We were happy to travel, explore new places, taste new food, immerse ourselves in new cultures. This nomadic lifestyle has its own magic. From each trip we returned home ready for the next one, ”say Robbie and Priscilla.
It took the couple a year and a half to reconstruct the bus. But now they can travel without interruption from work – both are doing business remotely. And their faithful cat, the ginger Mr. Beebles, accompanies them everywhere.
