The life of a young British woman, in fact, is enclosed within four walls.

“Frozen in time” is how the British media dubbed 19-year-old Daisy Rainey because of her mysterious state. The girl still wears diapers, cannot do without a nipple, does not speak, and is absolutely dependent on her parents and older brother. The only thing, Daisy can walk, otherwise she is an absolute baby.

Her mother Annie shared with reporters that her daughter wakes up 3-4 times a night, after which her parents, hearing screams on the baby monitor, run to put her to bed again. Daisy is capricious as a child, but it is not at all easy to endure the screams and blows from a physically strong girl.

All these years, the Rainey family has been trying to find an answer to what is wrong with Daisy, but, alas, experts only shrug their shoulders. A neurologist who has worked with the girl since the age of 4, said that her condition will never be fully explained.

For Daisy’s mother, this is especially difficult, because she does not even have anyone to share her pain with, to ask for advice. Usually, parents of sick children unite in communities – this makes it easier to cope with daily difficulties. Annie doesn’t have that option. Despite this, the woman never thought to give up and abandon her daughter.

The only thing, Annie blames herself for the fact that her 22-year-old son Harvey did not have a normal childhood, since all the attention was given to his sister.

“And I feel guilty towards my spouse Nick because he never had a daughter that he was supposed to have. He will never take her to the altar … We just have a huge baby with the largest diapers, ”says the mother bitterly.

Annie is sad that her daughter, in principle, will never have a normal life. She was tired of apologizing every day for the fact that her child is like that and gives everyone a lot of trouble.

Writing a book called “Daisy Can’t Talk” became a kind of therapy for the mother of an unusual girl. In it, Annie talked about what she had to face every day, remembered cases – from funny when a disgruntled man shouted that Daisy had held his steak in her mouth, to sad when the girl smashed her therapist’s office.

Now the Rainey family is entering a new stage: Daisy has been accepted into an institution for people with special needs. “It was a painful decision, but we feel that our options for caring for Daisy are very limited. Although, I will not hide, I am very afraid that they may not be able to cope with it, ”says Annie. Nevertheless, the parents intend to take the risk – for the good of their daughter.
