10 tips that prove I’m a feminist mom

No need to wear a Frida Kahlo t-shirt to support the cause of women every day. It suffices to multiply small actions to change customs.

1. I am a fan of Olympe de Gouges

I collect information on Olympe de Gouges, because it is the character that my 10 year old daughter plays in the theater. And it is not his hairstyle that interests us, but his state of mind, revolted, beating, independent.

2. I fight against the dictates of appearance

Waxing while gritting my teeth, going on a depressing diet to dare to go to the pool, getting up 20 minutes earlier to put on makeup every day, twisting my feet on heels to look more elegant… No, thank you (as Cyrano would say)!

3. I make engaged speeches

I talk so much about gender inequalities that my 6 year old son cried out when he realized that girls can’t stand up pee as easily as boys! It is true that, it is incredible!

4. I drink beer while peeling the carrots

When I am tired at night, from work, from home, from children, I say to everyone while cooking: “I would drink a beer!” And my partner does (with the lemon slice).

5. I don’t know where the mop is stored

I never cleaned the floors at home, it’s my husband’s job. Household chores are also perfectly divided into two equal parts. But I still know how to vacuum in a crisis!

6. I manage on my own

When there is no more battery in a toy, I open the toy and put in a new battery (wow!). When it comes to getting the ping-pong table out of the garage, I take my courage in both hands and I get there. Overall, I no longer call the father of my children for help, except to wash the floors!

7. I fight against stereotypes

As for clothes, I buy blue, pink, green, for girls and boys. My son has a doll. My daughter is listening to Vegedream. The first wedding they attended was a gay wedding. For them, what could be more natural than seeing their uncles kissing on George Michael?

8. My condition is gender-neutral

Man, child, baby, regardless of sex or even age, I call everyone “my louloute” or “my cat”. And my whole family seems to have come to terms with my genderless madness.

9. I work and take care of the children as much as their father

Each time my children were born, I was able to see them a lot and embark on a thousand projects. That is to say, I dared to suggest to my

in love to take care of them as much as me. In short, I am not the only parent in the house.

10. My mother is a feminist

I have a 75 year old mother who plays theater, drinks whiskey and is not afraid of anything. I pay tribute to her, because being a feminist today is easier than it was in the days of our elders. Thank you grandmothers! If you didn’t have

burnt your bras, we would still iron ours (and our husbands’ underpants!). the
