Traditional therapeutic uses

Main indications: contusion, sprain, fracture, sports or accidental injury, dislocation.

In Chinese energy, this formula is used to improve the circulation of Energy and Blood, decrease inflammation, stop pain, help tissue regeneration, accelerate the healing of fractures.

Dosage

For external use only.

  • Apply with a cotton ball to the area to be treated. Let dry. Cover with a bandage if necessary.
  • For a sprain: soak 2 to 3 cotton balls, apply locally and cover with a compress. Leave in place for half an hour to an hour. Remove the wadding without wiping. Cover with a bandage if necessary. Repeat twice a day.

Comments

There are two main categories of products for external application against musculoskeletal pain: those whose main therapeutic action is to relieve pain and those whose main therapeutic action is to accelerate the healing process. The liniment Zheng Gu Shui belongs to the second category because it is applied to fractures, sprains, dislocations, contusions to accelerate the healing process. It stretches with a cotton ball and it is not necessary to rub to make it penetrate. This is a distinct advantage when the injury is painful to the touch.
