What you need to tell your gynecologist: alarming symptoms

Some girls are embarrassed to talk about the problems that bother them. Writing off everything to shyness and inconvenience, they are silent about things that can lead to unpleasant and sometimes serious consequences.

For some girls, going to the gynecologist turns into torture. And the doctor asks awkward questions. And especially shy people close and prefer to answer that everything is fine with them. But in reality everything is different! What things should a woman tell without waiting for the doctor’s questions.

Itching

Itching can cause serious conditions ranging from inflammation to swelling and muscle wasting. Therefore, it is better to immediately admit the unpleasant sensations to your doctor, who will prescribe the necessary set of tests and will be able to make the correct diagnosis. In addition, scratching can cause bleeding wounds and the risk of infection is very high. Itching can be caused by candidiasis or thrush, bacterial vaginitis, sexually transmitted diseases, condylomas and allergies to semen and even soap! Be sure to tell your doctor about the problem!

Sex life

Do not be embarrassed when your doctor asks questions about the regularity of your sex life. Moreover, one should not be silent about the fact that the fast of abstinence lasted for several months. Believe me, the doctor asks such inappropriate, in your opinion, questions not in his own interests and not out of curiosity. It is important for him to know whether you care about your health, what types of contraception you have chosen, how your hormones work. Only with more information, the doctor can prescribe the correct treatment. Do not hesitate to admit that you have not had sex for a long time – irregular sex life in women can lead to an imbalance in female hormones, which, in turn, can cause gynecological diseases, including cancer.

Pain during sex

There may be several reasons for the pain, and there is no need to be silent about the fact that sex brings you more inconvenience than satisfaction. This can be vaginal dryness caused by insufficient lubrication, or more dangerous infections of the genitourinary tract. By the way, some of these infections can lead to infertility and even the appearance of neoplasms! Any pain is an alarming messenger of the body, which in this way notifies you that it’s time to run to the doctor!

Pain during menstruation

If in the first days of your period you have to take time off from work, and severe pain forces you to take painkillers and lie in an embrace with a soft pillow, then this is abnormal. Firstly, such pains can be caused by problems with the hormonal background and diseases of the thyroid gland, and secondly, the doctors consider painful menstruation a pathology. If the pain is regular, then most likely we are talking about dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is of two types: primary – when the discomfort subsides after the first birth, and secondary, caused by pathological changes or diseases. The second option raises serious concerns. If you delay treatment, then dysmenorrhea can reach its highest degree – the fourth, when, in addition to pain, vomiting, tachycardia and heart rhythm disturbances appear. In order not to bring your body to a critical state, honestly tell your doctor how often and how much you are worried about pain during menstruation.

Decreased libido

Do not blame everything on the frantic pace of life, fatigue and malaise. A decrease in sex drive can be associated not only with a psychological state, but also with a hormonal disorder. In addition, diseases of the reproductive system, diabetes, pain during sex can affect libido (we talked about this above). There is no shame in telling your doctor about this problem and finding out the reasons that have cooled your ardor.

Overweight problem

If you have been on diets for more than a month (and not always correct and beneficial to the fragile female body), and the kilograms are in no hurry to leave you, then complain about them to the doctor. Excess weight may indicate hormonal disorders: for example, diseases of the endocrine system, including ovarian pathology. You should not continue to be zealous and starve yourself, but it is better to seek help from a specialist.
