What can the right testicle hurt for? Can such ailments indicate any serious medical conditions? Is the pain in the right testicle a cause for concern? Should such symptoms be consulted quickly with a doctor? Which specialist should you go to? The question is answered by the drug. Katarzyna Darecka.
What does pain in the right testicle indicate?
Good day. For two days I have had a disturbing symptom, namely it is about pain in the right testicle. I can’t tell exactly when it started, at first I thought I had some weird feeling in my testicles but figured my pants were too tight or something. The pain, however, continued and grew stronger. It is not a pain that prevents people from functioning, but a pain that disturbs them. Surprisingly, the only thing that really hurts is my right testicle, there is no problem with the left testicle.
I have checked and there is no swelling or redness on my testicles, nor have I hit anywhere recently. I also didn’t have sex. What does the pain in the right testicle show? Can such pain mean something dangerous? I wonder if this happens and should I wait or maybe it would be better to see a doctor immediately? And what kind of doctor should I go to with such ailments? I admit that I am ashamed and I would rather deal with the problem myself, but I understand that it is not always possible.
The doctor indicates the possible causes of pain in the right testicle
A doctor who normally deals with testicular diseases is a urologist, but it is always worth visiting your GP first – he will be able to conduct a thorough interview about pain and other comorbidities, but also thoroughly examine the area around the testicles and decide whether to include some specific treatment, implements further diagnostics or perhaps refers you to a specialist.
The causes of testicular pain there may be many, and the pain may radiate there as well, not just begin there. The causes of testicular pain may be testicular torsion (the pain is usually sudden and very severe), epididymitis, testicular hydrocele, inguinal hernia, nephrolithiasis, mumps, testicular inflammation, prostatitis, testicular damage, urinary tract inflammation and varicocele .
It is worth visiting a doctor especially when the pain appears suddenly, very intense – it may be a sign of testicular torsion, which is a sudden condition and requires the fastest possible treatment to prevent testicular loss. Testicular torsion can occur in men at any age, but it is more common in adolescents and young adults. It is also worth making an appointment with a doctor if the testicular pain is accompanied by nausea, fever and chills or there is blood in the urine. If the pain in the testicle of moderate intensity lasts more than a few days and you notice a bulging or swelling of the testicle or tissues around it, then it is also worth seeing a doctor.
It is difficult to say whether regular testicular pain is a symptom of a more serious condition. This can only be confirmed by a doctor who will carefully examine the patient. The testicles are a very delicate organ and even a small injury that we may not even remember can cause testicular pain and discomfort in the scrotal area. Pain, in addition to a possible cause in the testicle itself, can also start in the epididymis or groin, and even in the abdominal cavity. However, it is not always possible to identify the cause of testicular pain, we call it idiopathic testicular pain, i.e. testicular pain for no apparent reason.
