We dilute the martini with other drinks

The advantage of martini vermouths is that they can be drunk both in pure form and in combination with other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You just need to know how to properly dilute a martini to reduce strength and sweetness. We will benefit from the following drinks.

Mineral water. You can add well-chilled mineral water to any type of martini, for example, Bianco or Rosso. The optimal ratio is 1:3 (one part water to three parts martini). At the same time, the taste and aroma almost do not change, but excessive sweetness disappears and the fortress decreases.

The juice. There is a separate material on the combination of martini with juices. Now just a reminder that it is better to use acidic juices. For example, citrus, cherry or pomegranate fresh. Bianco is best mixed with orange and lemon juice, red varieties (Rosso, Rose, Rosato) – with cherry and pomegranate. The proportions depend on your preferences. The classic option is to dilute the martini with juice in a one-to-one ratio, or pour two parts of the juice into a glass at once.

Gene and sprite. Many people like to pair martinis with gin or sprite. The proportions are as follows: two parts martini and one part gin (sprite). You can also add some ice and a slice of lemon. It turns out a refreshing cocktail with a pleasant tart aftertaste.

Tea. Few people have tried to dilute martinis with tea, but in vain. If you take high-quality tea leaves of black varieties, you get an original soft drink with excellent taste.

To prepare it, two parts of a martini and one part of cold, strong black tea are added to a glass. A teaspoon of lemon juice helps to enhance the taste, but this is not necessary. Next, a green olive is planted on a skewer and the cocktail is mixed with it. The refreshing effect of the resulting drink is pleasantly surprising.

Vodka. This combination became popular thanks to James Bond, who liked to mix martinis with vodka at parties. You can read about the recipe and preparation of this cocktail separately. It will appeal to lovers of strong alcohol, as in the classic version there is much more vodka than martini.
