Warty puffball (lat. Scleroderma verrucosum) is an inedible fungus-gasteromycete of the genus False raindrops.

From the scleroderma family. It occurs often, usually in groups, in forests, especially on forest edges, in clearings, in grass, along roads. Fruiting from August to October.

Fruit body ∅ 2-5 cm, brownish, covered with a rough, corky leathery shell. No hats or legs.

The pulp, at first, with yellow streaks, then gray-brown or olive, cracks in ripe mushrooms, unlike raincoats, it does not dust. The taste is pleasant, the smell is spicy.
