The heart beats not only for the other person, but above all for us. Our most important organ deserves special treatment. If we can sacrifice ourselves for others, let us also do something for ourselves.

Each of us should care about enjoying health as long as possible. Undoubtedly, movement, avoiding stimulants and a healthy lifestyle have a big impact on our proper functioning. An important factor in healthy eating is the presence of fruits and vegetables in our diet. No one needs to be reminded of their beneficial effect on our health, and yet, even among our friends, we have a large group of people, especially men, who prefer to provide the body with empty calories instead of vitamins from fruits and vegetables. There is a belief among men that a real man must eat a decent piece of meat and he will not clog himself with “lettuce”.

If physical activity has become fashionable, and fitness clubs and gyms are springing up like mushrooms in every major city in Poland, it may also become fashionable to eat fruit and vegetables at least 3 times a week. It should be remembered that fruits and vegetables, usually in unprocessed form, are a source of ingredients needed for the proper functioning of the body. 

The most important factor in favor of introducing vegetables and fruits to the daily diet is the impact on maintaining good arterial condition. Beta-carotene contained in e.g. in carrot, pumpkin, dill, parsley, spinach and peach, apricot, melon or plum significantly reduce the risk of a heart attack by several dozen percent, while protecting against stroke. Fruits and vegetables should be eaten not only by people who want to avoid heart problems, but also by those who already have these problems. They inhibit their development, not allowing them to spread.

Vegetables and fruits are a source of dietary fiber, they are rich in mineral salts and vitamins. They perfectly affect the regulation of metabolism, to a large extent prevent diseases of the cardiovascular system. The antioxidants present in fruits and vegetables significantly reduce the inflammation associated with heart disease. Fiber, which is rich in fruits and vegetables, has a beneficial effect on the body, reducing, among other things, the risk of heart disease. There are plenty of products on the market that advertise themselves as effective in the fight against heart disease, probably most of them have a good effect, but we can help this fight by eating a daily portion of fruit and vegetables. 

Whether you are man or woman, young or old consuming A daily serving of fruit and vegetables reduces the risk of developing heart disease, lowers cholesterol, reducing the occurrence of blockages in the veins. Including fruits and vegetables in our diet is essential for developing healthy habits and keeping our body in good condition.

Fortunately, the old days are over and now we have full access to all fruits and vegetables, and their varieties and flavors can make your head spin, let’s use this benefit while helping our heart function properly to love and be loved.
