Trendy coffee made for fun: the story of avolatte

Avocado is one of the most popular fruits. It is customary to add it to all kinds of snacks, salads, pizza, soups. In Australia, avocados are also used to make coffee.

The history of the drink is as follows: the barista of Truman Cafe decided to make fun of the customers and served coffee in avocado skin. This rally was recorded on video and posted on social networks. The video quickly gained a million views and many comments. Visitors began to come to the cafe to taste coffee in an “unusual cup”.

To prepare the avolatte, the fruit is cut in half, the bone is removed, the pulp is cleaned, and the latte is poured into the resulting tank. In chains, this coffee is called differently – avolatte, lattekado or even coffee in a “vegan cup”.

A natural question arises: why use an avocado to serve regular coffee? Supporters of the drink claim that this way it acquires an unusual nutty taste, and there is no need for disposable dishes.

At the very least, you should try to order or prepare an avolatte to determine whether such an unusual trend makes sense.
