The mirror broke: what is it for and what to do if it falls, but does not break
Without it, we are like no hands, and this is not an exaggeration. A rare woman does not look in the mirror at least ten times a day. And if it breaks, then it is a tragedy.
Not only because now you need to look for something new, but it can be expensive. Also because a mirror is a mystical object, it is not for nothing that it occupies a central place in a variety of magical rituals. Even the betrothed, according to old Russian customs, is guessed at with his help. Feng Shui also treats mirrors with reverence, strictly regulating the place where they can be hung and where not.
A broken mirror is always associated with misfortune, it is considered a harbinger of trouble. In ancient times, it was believed that the mirror reflects not only the face and figure of a person, but also his soul. That is why people were so anxious about him and were afraid to break. They believed that in this case the energy flows are destroyed, and this inevitably leads to tragedy. Such superstitions are alive not only with us.
In England, for example, they believe that broken mirrors portend the loss of the closest of friends. To avoid this, it is necessary to throw all the fragments immediately and without fail into the depth of the river. By the way, even now the stiff (and superstitious) British sometimes do that.
The Americans, as representatives of a nation with a mercantile reputation, tried to ward off trouble with the help of gold. If a mirror broke, they took out a gold coin from their pocket and were baptized. Now gold coins are not in use, so they use one dollar bills – modestly.
How to properly throw a broken mirror
If the mirror is small, pocket, but it’s broken on the street, there are no problems with it – in the trash, and all that matters. But if at home is another story.

– leave fragments or cracked mirrors in the apartment – they should be thrown away immediately;

Now the main trick: first, you need to collect the fragments so as not to look at your reflection, and second, to throw them away correctly. First you need to stock up on gloves to avoid injury. And then start cleaning.
– You can cover the broken mirror with paper or a rag (a towel or an old sheet that you don’t mind throwing away) and collect the fragments. But it’s so easy to cut yourself, so the method is not very suitable;
– Go to the side mirror to not see your reflection. Trying not to look at the fragments, we quickly assemble them into an opaque package.
– in this case, large fragments are usually washed under a stream of water and thrown outside in a trash can (thus, water removes all bad from the fragments and does not allow negative energy to prevail over positive energy);
– small splinters just need to collect and throw in a bucket, then take out the garbage;
– the area in the house where the mirror has broken, is thoroughly sprayed with holy water – or simply with water. Astrologers advise to do this before cleaning, and then put a candle next to it, and even then collect fragments;
– another option is to free up the place where the mirror broke, from evil forces – to put a church candle in this zone, which should burn for three hours;
– it is necessary to buy a new mirror on the day of the full moon, or at least before dinner (then the evil forces will retreat);
– it is better to quickly forget about an annoying accident and think less about it – all our thoughts are material.
It happens that the mirror for some reason falls, but it does not break. This may indicate that if there are any troubles in the life of the household, they will end safely – without loss and sacrifice. And if there are no chips, no cracks, no other damage on the fallen mirror, you can simply hang it on the same place where it hung, and try to fix it better. And what you should not do is worry.
