The game «Leader is …»

Objectives:

• to master an active style of communication and develop partnership relations in the group;
• practice in identifying clear and distinct signs of leadership behavior, awareness of leadership qualities.

Band size: whatever big.

Resources: semi-paper sheets, scissors, glue, markers, pencils, a lot of brochures, magazines, newspapers.

Time: about an hour.

Course of the game

This task is an excellent «warm-up» of the group before leadership training. The materials that the participants will present and discuss in a playful way will serve as a guide for the entire block of classes. Perhaps the coach and the group will return to them more than once during the meetings. Therefore, it is desirable to use large sheets that are easier to store for a long time.

All players are provided with a variety of stationery, newspapers, magazines, advertising brochures. Within 30-40 minutes they prepare (single or in pairs) a kind of collage using newspaper headlines, photographs, freehand drawings or found in advertising publications, magazines, newspapers.
