The Diddl

Diddl, Diddlina and the children

Diddl Story

Diddl is a male mouse character, with big ears, a little face and a tender look that will make all our toddlers crack. He was born on August 24, 1990 under the pencil of the German Thomas Goletz to which the company Depesche Vertrieb GmbH & Co. KG has the rights.

Diddl has friends, of course, but also enemies. Among the first are:

  • Diddlina, in love with Diddl.
  • Wollywell, a very fearful black sheep.
  • Vanilla, a lucky white sheep.
  • Ackaturbo, a bird.
  • Pimboli, a clever and generous little bear who loves honey and gingerbread.
  • Mimihopps, a rabbit-vixen, companion of Pimboli.
  • Gallups, a horse who loves the tender ballads of Diddlina and Diddl and apples (his favorite dish). He is Diddlina’s great friend.
  • Bibombl, a dog found by Diddl.
  • Milimits, a cat of Diddlina found on a beach in a barrel. She’s a cat with a tabby tail.
  • Professor Diddldaddl Blubberpeng, a mouse, Diddl’s great-uncle. He lives near the sparkling moonlit lake, and is the scientist of the small village of Diddl.
  • Merksmir Lettermampf, a library snake. He devours books.
  • Hampfdiddl Bogart, Souricity’s greatest detective.
  • Tiplitaps, a turtle.

Diddl also has enemies. Among these:

  • Fritt the Frog, disgusting frog.
  • Friedl the Froglazy frog
  • Fratt the Frog, plump frog.
  • Petit Pataud, Chubby and very clever bear.

Diddl in France

Diddl arrived in France in the 2000s. First in the form of a postcard, it quickly became popular with young girls.

The “Diddlmania” was born in 2003, invading the world of accessories, little girls from CP to CM2. Around 2005, the phenomenon faded in schoolyards.

It is also a practical way to make gifts to girlfriends without making a mistake… As evidenced by Christine H., Romane’s mother, CM1.

Diddl: always in fashion

When we ask today’s parents, some mothers confirm that the phenomenon is very present. Ernest, in CE1, “… it’s for girls, and for boys! When we are between two friends, we can talk about it, but together, we will dare less… ”. Karima M. her mother tells us:

Do you want to talk about it between parents? To give your opinion, to bring your testimony? We meet on https://forum.parents.fr.
