First of all, I want to understand for myself what effect is needed. Moisturizing on the lips, matte finish (by the way, keep in mind, it visually “takes” volume, and adds glossy). Then I decide on the texture – lipstick or lip gloss. If I go to choose a cream lipstick, I always look at the label, which the manufacturer promises. Then the turn of colors – will it be lipstick for every day or bright? Depending on this, I go to brand corners: somewhere there are more bright shades, somewhere they offer me a nude palette. To be honest, I don’t really look at the brand itself, it’s not very important. Interested in colors. So I can say that I use all brands: from budget to expensive ones.

Which is better – liquid or solid texture of lipstick?

To be honest, because I like to be with loose hair, and the wind often walks on the street, everything sticks to liquid lipsticks, and this is wildly uncomfortable. In the season of hats, yes, the liquid texture is in place. Another issue is ease of application. Someone needs to control the application of the lipstick rod itself, someone is more pleasant to use the applicator. The applicators are thinner, so they draw all the corners, paint over the “tick” of the lips well. A lot depends on the application technique that you like.

If there are cracks, wrinkles above the upper lip, or age 35+, I do not recommend using liquid lipsticks. The texture flows into bumps, looks ugly.
