Arnica: super effective in treating bruises
Dr Jean-Michel Morel explains: “It is its original indication, which has made its reputation and which is supported by studies. Arnica shortens the duration of the development of hematomas and contusions following a fall, but also a surgical intervention or simply linked to capillary fragility.
How do we use it?
In homeopathy, 5 CH, at the rate of 3 granules every hour just after the trauma of any kind, then, after the acute phase, three times a day until the lesions disappear. The oral route can be combined with the local route, in other words with applications of mother tinctures with anti-inflammatory properties, or in the form of a gel for more convenience. In addition, coumarins in arnica protect the vessels, prevent the formation of clots and facilitate the resorption of hematomas.
Against stiffness, we take arnica
After the effort, comfort … thanks to arnica with analgesic and relaxing effects on sports muscle soreness, but also due to a viral infection.
How do we use it?
“At bedtime, place 20 drops of a 4 DH solution under the tongue, to be ordered from the pharmacist,” suggests Dr. Morel. To be completed with compresses soaked in mother tincture or arnica oil.
Arnica: precautions to take…
- It is not applied to a wound.
- It is not used in children under 1 year old.
- Are we allergic to asteraceae? The risk is minimal, but not zero!
- We remain careful with mouthwashes if weis taking anticoagulant therapy due to of its anti-aggregating effect.
- We do not eat its flowers, irritating to the digestive system and tonicardiac.
Arnica, to treat ailments of the mouth
Arnica can accelerate the healing of inflammation of the tonsils, gingivitis, a canker sore… The main indication? The consequences of dental treatment or trauma to the mouth.
How do we use it?
In mouthwashes (do not swallow), 1/2 to 1 tsp. teaspoon of arnica mother tincture diluted in 1 glass of water. “Possibly as a gargle if the problem is located further away, at the level of the pharynx, by keeping it in the mouth ten seconds before spitting out”, recommends Dr. Morel. Combined homeopathy, Arnica 5 CH, 3 granules taken together, every two hours, accelerates tissue healing.
