Chlamydia is often called ” silent disease Because more than 50% of infected men and 70% of women have no symptoms and are unaware that they have the disease. Symptoms usually appear after a few weeks, but may take even longer to appear.

In women

• Most often, no sign;
• Sensation of burning while urinating ;
• Unusual vaginal discharge ;
• Bleeding between periods, or during or after the sex ;
• Pain during sex;
• Lower abdominal pain or in the lower part of the Both of you ;
• Rectite (inflammation of the wall of the rectum);
• Abnormal discharge from the anus.

In humans

• Sometimes no sign;
• Tingling, itching in the urethra (channel at the exit of the bladder which opens at the end of the penis);
• Abnormal discharge from urethra, rather clear and somewhat milky;
• Burning while urinating ;
• Pain and sometimes swelling in the testicles, in some cases ;
• Rectite (inflammation of the wall of the rectum);
• Abnormal discharge from the anus.

In the newborn child to whom the mother transmits chlamidiae

• Eye infection with redness and discharge at this level;
• Lung infection which can cause coughing, difficult breathing and fever.
