Mom rejoiced at the birth of her daughter when she suddenly felt new contractions.
30-year-old American Lindsay Altis gave birth to a daughter and immediately found out that she was expecting another baby. The other day, Lindsay and her husband Wesley shared a funny photo: a dumbfounded mother sits with her mouth open when doctors hand her her second child.
“This is a boy!” They announce.
Lindsay regrets only one thing: no one photographed her husband’s reaction at the moment when he found out about the second baby. These emotions cannot be conveyed.
This is Lindsay’s second pregnancy. The first passed without surprises – a boy was born, who was named Django.
“And then I immediately suspected something was wrong when I saw my newborn daughter,” says the happy mother. – She was so small, and yet I put on weight twice as much as in my first pregnancy. I didn’t understand how my baby could be so tiny. ”
Barely picking up her daughter, the woman felt a new fight.
“It is impossible to convey in words my emotions when I realized that I was about to give birth to another child,” recalls Lindsay. – The nurses did not even understand what the matter was, but I already felt that the second baby was on the way.
Lindsay says there were no signs of twins during pregnancy:
“The second pregnancy was exactly like the first. My midwife measured the height of the fundus every week. Everything indicated that one child would be born. I did not do an ultrasound scan in the early stages – I felt that it was unnecessary for me. They did an ultrasound scan only in the last weeks to make sure that everything is fine with the baby. But even then no one saw the twins. “
Later, watching the ultrasound video, Lindsay was never able to see the second baby.
“I think the doctors just checked the fluid level at the screening. If they were looking for a second baby, they would definitely find him, ”the woman is sure.
During contractions, CTG sensors were connected to mommy, which monitor the baby’s condition. But even then, the apparatus only caught one heartbeat.
“On that day, I probably set the world record for the number of shouts ‘Oh God!’ In 10 minutes,” the mother of many children smiles. “But now that everything has settled down, we are so happy, and I do not regret anything.”
