Healthy food lovers will love the steamed fish recipe. It is very simple: you need to peel and rinse the fish, cut into portioned slices, add seasoning to taste, put in a mold and cook for 30-40 minutes. Lemon juice, nutmeg, thyme, marjoram will help to give the fish a pleasant taste.

Diet steamed French salad

If you prefer complex and sophisticated dishes that you can eat without fear of gaining weight, look at the French salad. To prepare it, you will need the following products:

– 250 g of beef; – 250 g of tomatoes; – 200 g of potatoes; – salt and seasonings to taste; -1 yolk; – 2 tbsp. olive oil; – 2 tbsp. 3% vinegar; – a pinch of dry mustard.

Peel the potatoes, rinse the meat and cook both in a double boiler on different levels for 40 minutes. While the food is cooking, cut the tomatoes into slices and place them on a platter. Then make a salad dressing: Boil an egg, take the yolk and grind it, then add a little salt, vinegar, mustard and olive oil and mix thoroughly. When the potatoes and meat are done, cut them into thin slices. Put the beef on top of the tomatoes and sprinkle with pepper and salt, then put a layer of potatoes and pour the dressing into the salad. The dish can be garnished with onions, parsley or dill.

Dishes with seafood in a double boiler

Seafood is very healthy and generally low in calories. By steaming them, you will retain all the valuable substances contained in such products, and end up with a delicious dietary meal.

The easiest option is to cook the seafood separately. They are steamed on average for about 5-7 minutes. If you are cooking shrimp, then you need to take them out of the steamer when they turn pink.

There are more complicated options. For example, if you love seafood, try making stuffed squid. To do this, you will need:

– 2 medium-sized squid; – 0,5 cups of boiled rice; – 150 g feta cheese; – salt and pepper; – 3 cloves of garlic.

Peel and rinse the squid, cut and chop the tentacles. Boil rice, mix with tentacles and finely chopped garlic. Then mash the cheese with a fork and add to the resulting mass. Salt and pepper the filling, mix thoroughly and stuff the squid with it. As a rule, the filling will not fall out in such cases, however, you can use toothpicks to secure the carcasses.
