Sesame and sunflower seed crackers

The feeling of hunger can catch us at any moment, and it is better to prepare for this moment in advance so as not to find yourself with a chocolate bar or cracker in your teeth. Many of us try to monitor our diet, eat right, however, not everyone pays due attention to such a seemingly insignificant meal as a snack. In the meantime, unbeknownst to ourselves, we may eat large amounts of unhealthy ingredients, empty calories and sugar-containing foods in a snack format, thus unknowingly sabotaging our efforts to improve our health.

Therefore, I urge you, firstly, to pay attention to snacks, choose those that really belong to the category of “healthy” foods, and, secondly, prepare snacks in advance so as not to satisfy your acute hunger with the wrong snack.

Below is a recipe for seed crackers that have become very popular with my Anti-Sugar Detox program. Girls love these crackers for their ease of preparation, great taste and texture, and of course the obvious health benefits (especially when compared to the usual flour crackers and cookies). I hope you find the recipe useful too!

Ingredients:

  • peeled sunflower seeds – 1 tbsp.,
  • white sesame seeds – ½ tbsp.,
  • flax seeds – 2 tablespoons,
  • unrefined olive oil – 2 tablespoons,
  • salt – a pinch
  • water – 4 tablespoons

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180C. Grind the flax seeds in a coffee grinder (although you can use them whole). Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Grind for a few minutes until a homogeneous thick mass begins to form. Put a layer of parchment on a baking sheet and transfer the resulting “dough” to the parchment, distribute it in such a way that an even layer 0,5 cm thick is obtained. Cut the mass into 3 cm by 3 cm crackers. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Cool before drinking.
