Not a day without vegetable salad!
 

For me, vegetable salad is a daily food, so I usually make it from what is in the fridge. No complicated recipes or fancy ingredients: the faster you cook, the better.

Here is another recipe for salad from “handy” vegetables – simple and quick:

Chop a cucumber, carrots, 1/5 head of red cabbage, add a handful of any sprouts and a pinch of sesame seeds. The main secret is as chop cabbage and carrots. Chop the cabbage as fine and thin as possible, and cut the carrots into “shavings” using a vegetable peeler: for some reason, they are much tastier than slices.
