Causes and treatment of delayed menstruation

Your period can be delayed for a variety of reasons. If they do not come on time, you need to purchase a pregnancy test and use it according to the instructions. If the test is negative, you can do an additional test for hCG (“pregnancy hormone”). If the “interesting position” is excluded, you should find out the reasons for the irregularities in the menstrual cycle.

A sign of disruption in the work of the female hormonal system is amenorrhea – the absence of menstruation in girls and women aged 16–45 years for six months.

Its reasons may be:

  • inflammatory diseases of the genital organs
  • psychological stress
  • change of diet
  • poisoning
  • serious illnesses
  • damage to the endocrine glands

If the delay in menstruation was caused by psychological trauma, herbal treatment will help regulate the menstrual cycle.

To treat this disease, the doctor prescribes cyclic hormone therapy. To cause menstruation with amenorrhea, you can use folk remedies. Most often, elecampane and chamomile are used for these purposes.

How to induce menstruation with folk remedies

If the reasons for the delay in menstruation are unknown, and pregnancy is excluded, you can take herbs that do not cause menstruation, but regulate the cycle – calendula or chamomile. These funds can also be used if your period starts too early. It is safe to take a hot bath. The procedure will cause blood flow to the genitals and increase the tone of the uterus, and this will somewhat speed up the onset of menstruation.

A reliable and safe way to speed up the onset of menstruation is parsley. Her broth should be drunk half a glass twice a day, it should be taken 3-4 days.

To speed up the onset of menstruation, you can prepare an infusion from a mixture of herbs:

  • 3 teaspoons valerian root
  • 4 teaspoons of mint leaves
  • 4 teaspoons of chamomile flowers

Pour the mixture of herbs with a glass of boiling water, let stand for a while. Take the infusion hot twice a day for half a glass.

To induce periods with a delay, you can take 3-5 grams of dry carrot seeds orally before meals

An effective remedy that causes menstruation is an infusion of cornflower or verbena officinalis.

To prepare it you will need:

  • 2 teaspoons blue cornflower
  • 1 cup boiling water

Grind the raw materials, pour boiling water over and leave for an hour. Strain and drink it 3-4 times a day, 1 tablespoon before meals. Verbena infusion is prepared in a similar way. It is taken three times a day, 50 ml.
