Photos: dad portrays son with Down’s syndrome in an incredible way

“Will can fly”: incredible photos of Will, “flying”!

Alan Lawrence, American dad from Utah (USA), artistic director and amateur photographer, posted a series of photos of his 18 month old son, Will, who has Down syndrome, “flying”. Little by little, the “Will can fly” project saw the light of day on the dad’s “thatdadblog” Instagram account. The goal is to show that Down syndrome (trisomy 21) does not prevent the young boy from doing amazing things.

Initially, this father, very involved in various associations, wanted to make his family smile. He started making photo montages with Will “flying” because of his weird crawling way. Once posted with hashtags on Instagram, the snaps brought other members of the Down syndrome community together. Very quickly, the “thatdadblog” account grew from less than 200 subscribers to almost 7. Alan Lawrence told the American press that now he was taking the photos and sharing them in order to help parents who might be scared. by having a child with Down syndrome. “A child with Down syndrome can be a blessing for your family,” he said.
